Just in time for the Year of the Tiger, these adorable hats are sure to unleash the hidden Tigger in your little one.  Perfectly sized for most children under 2, these hats preserve a quickly fading Beijing-area tradition.  Hand-sewn and hand-embroidered, each hat requires at least 10 hours of work.  No two hats are alike and no detail is forgotten; they're even complete with a tail in the back!  Made by a team of four local grandmas, one of whom is 80 years old, these children's hats look equally adorable sitting on a shelf. 



Each hat is unique with individual fabric combinations and colors.  We have a limited stock of hats created in red, black, gold, and neutral-colored base fabrics.  If you have a strong preference, please e-mail jenny@scarletthreads.org with your preference after placing your order, and we'll do our best to honor it.  However, each hat is one-of-a-kind, so we hope you enjoy the surprise!
