Borana Michiras

Borana Michiras

Michira is the Oromo word for this type of bracelet. These bracelets are handcrafted in Mega, Ethiopia by our talented artisan, Denge Doti. He is a man of many talents, not only in crafting these beautiful Borana bracelets, but he also makes pulpits and windows for local churches. He is married and the father of eight children. Purchasing these bracelets helps him support his large family.

The bracelets are unique to the Borana tribe in southern Ethiopia. They are made from a variety of metals, painstakingly wrapped to form these beautifully patterned bracelets.

*NOTE* 20% of the profits from the sale of all of our Michiras will be donated to Hand of Hope Ministries http://www.hofhm.org/  This ministry serves approx 50 orphans in southern Ethiopia and Kenya as well as supporting several evangelists in the area.
